This Privacy Policy explains how Big Ridge Studios ("we", "us") handles information in connection with Realform (the "App"), a 3D scanning app for iPhone. It is written to meet the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR/UK GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and Apple App Store requirements.
In short: Realform is private by design. Every scan, photo, and 3D model — including any scan of a person — is created and processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded to us or anyone else. There is no account and no cloud. The only data that leaves your device is ad-related (via Google AdMob) — and in the EU/UK we ask your permission first. We never sell your personal data.

Scans, camera & sensor data. Realform uses your device's camera and motion/depth sensors (including LiDAR where available) to capture scans. All capture and 3D reconstruction happen on your device. Camera frames and sensor data are used solely to build your 3D models and floor plans (including face and body geometry when you scan a person) and are not transmitted to us.
Photos. If you choose to import a photo for a scan, only the specific images you select (via the system photo picker) are used, and they are processed on your device only — never uploaded.
Your models & floor plans. Anything you create is saved locally on your device. We never receive it. It stays under your control — you can delete it at any time, and it is removed when you delete it or uninstall the App. If you choose to export or back up your files (for example, to the Files app or iCloud), that is handled by you and Apple, not by us.
Realform's Person scan mode builds a 3D model of a person from photographs and LiDAR depth captured with your device's rear camera. A scan of a person may include their face and likeness as 3D geometry and color texture.
Realform does not perform facial recognition, facial identification, Face ID, or any biometric analysis, and it does not create or store facial-recognition templates or any other biometric identifiers. It uses Apple's on-device Object Capture and photogrammetry; it does not use the TrueDepth (face-mapping) camera.
All capture and 3D reconstruction happen entirely on your device. Your scans — including any that contain a person's face or likeness — are never transmitted to Big Ridge Studios, never uploaded to any server, and never shared with or sold to any third party. There are no accounts and no cloud.
These 3D models are stored only in the app's local storage on your device and stay under your control. You can view, export, or delete them at any time; deleting a scan (or deleting the app) removes it from your device. Because we never receive this data, we do not retain it. Please scan only people who have agreed to be scanned.
The free version of the App shows ads served by Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, Google may process device/usage information such as a device or advertising identifier, ad-interaction data, coarse location (derived from IP address), and diagnostics.

The optional Remove Ads purchase (a one-time $9.99) is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details. Realform has no subscriptions or recurring charges — Remove Ads is a single one-time purchase. (Legal basis: performance of a contract — GDPR Art. 6(1)(b).)
The Realform app does not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not collect usage analytics or behavioral data about how you use the App. (For website analytics, see Section 7.)
This policy is hosted on our website, bigridgestudios.com, which uses Google Analytics 4 to understand site usage. Website analytics are disabled by default and load only if you accept our cookie banner (we use Google Consent Mode v2). Your choice is stored on your device, and you can change it at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer. This is separate from the App, which uses no analytics. We share data only with the service providers above (Google for ads, Apple for purchases), each acting under its own terms and only as needed to run the App. We may disclose information if required by law.
Google and Apple may process ad and purchase data outside your country, including in the United States, under appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses / the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework).
Your scans and models remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. Ad and purchase data are retained by Google and Apple per their own policies.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because your scans and models live on your device, you control and delete them directly. For ad-related choices, re-open the consent form or use your device's settings (iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and Apple's personalized-ads controls). To exercise rights with us, email privacy@bigridgestudios.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising without offering the choices required by law, and we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a right-to-limit option. You have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out.
We may update this policy; we will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice in the App or store listing.
