Effective: as of the game's public release date · Last updated: August 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Big Ridge Studios ("we", "us") handles information in connection with 86'd: Zombie Survivors (the "Game"), a game for iPhone. It is written to meet the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR/UK GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and Apple App Store requirements.
In short: 86'd has no accounts and no third-party analytics. The free version is supported by ads served by Google AdMob; a single one-time purchase removes them entirely. Your progress stays on your device. Outside of what the ad network needs to serve ads — described in Section 3 — we don't know who you are, and we don't want to.
The Game is published by Big Ridge Studios. For any privacy question or request, contact us at privacy@bigridgestudios.com.
86'd has no accounts and no sign-in. You never give us a name, email address, or password. Your saved progress — unlocked maps and cooks, Tips, and settings — is stored on your device only, and it is removed when you delete the Game.
The free version of 86'd shows ads served by Google AdMob (Google LLC). What Google collects and how it uses it is described in Google's Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. The App Store privacy label lists what the ad SDK collects.
Where the ads are. There are three places, and no others:
Consent, and the two prompts. On first launch Google's consent tool shows the notice required where you live — the GDPR/IAB-TCF form in the EU, UK and Switzerland, a US-states notice elsewhere — and you can reopen it any time from Settings ▸ Privacy options to change or withdraw your choice. Separately, Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt asks whether the Game may use your device's advertising identifier. These are two different questions, and both are yours to answer.
We ourselves collect nothing for advertising: Google's processing is the only advertising-related data flow in the Game, and it exists only while ads are shown.
To balance the Game — to learn things like how long a typical run lasts, which weapons players actually build toward, and where runs tend to end — 86'd can send anonymous gameplay statistics to a server we run ourselves. We built this to be as close to nothing as a measurement can be:
Because these statistics contain no identifiers, they are not personal data we can connect to you. In App Store terms, this is "Product Interaction" and "Other Usage Data," not linked to your identity and not used for tracking. (Legal basis, where applicable: our legitimate interest in improving the Game — GDPR Art. 6(1)(f).)
The only third-party SDKs in 86'd are Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and Google User Messaging Platform, the consent tool that presents the notice described in Section 3. They are the advertising path and nothing else. There are no third-party analytics, attribution, social, or crash-reporting SDKs — nothing else in the Game reports to another company about you.
86'd uses Apple's Game Center for one thing: online co-op. Matchmaking, friend invites, and the connection between two players are all handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. If you play co-op, the other player can see your Game Center display name — that identity belongs to your Apple Account, not to any account with us, and we never receive your Apple Account credentials. We do not run multiplayer servers of our own: gameplay data travels between the two devices through Apple's service and is not stored by us. If you are not signed in to Game Center, or you turn it off in your device's iOS settings, everything except co-op works normally.
86'd offers one in-app purchase: a one-time unlock that removes ads and adds the DLC. It is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store — we never receive or store your payment details, and there are no subscriptions and no consumable purchases. Refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
This policy is hosted on our website, bigridgestudios.com, which uses Google Analytics. Until you accept our cookie banner, it runs in a limited, cookieless mode (Google Consent Mode v2): no analytics cookies are set and nothing is used for advertising or cross-site tracking, though anonymized, cookieless pings may still reach Google. If you accept, standard analytics cookies are enabled — and you can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer. This is separate from the Game. See our studio Privacy Policy for website details.
We do not sell or share your personal data. The only companies involved in the Game at all are Apple (for the App Store, purchases, and optional Game Center), the advertising network described in Section 3 while ads are shown, and the infrastructure provider that hosts our own statistics endpoint, which never receives identifiers or stored IP addresses. We may disclose information if required by law.
Anonymous gameplay statistics are kept in aggregate for as long as they are useful for balancing the Game. Your saved progress stays on your device until you delete the Game.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because 86'd collects no identifiers, we generally have no data that can be connected to you — your progress is on your device and under your control. To exercise rights with us, email privacy@bigridgestudios.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out.
We may update this policy; we will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice in the Game or on its store listing.
